We are thrilled beyond belief that once again this year we are able to bring to you the best talent in Bluegrass today having the incredible voice of Brooke Aldridge, winner of the 2017 International Bluegrass Association ‘FEMALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR’ award, on our stage at the BBQ & Bluegrass Jam COMING UP NEXT SATURDAY October 14th!!!

And, to kick things off we are introducing a 16 year old picker who has decided to preserve the old timey roots of bluegrass by mastering the mountain style “clawhammer” method of playing the banjo, as we introduce the world to “CAIN SPRINGS”

 

Saturday August 12, 2017

This year’s event will celebrate the support between husbands and wives to increase awareness of breast cancer prevention and cure during breast cancer awareness month.

Our featured bands will include the husband and wife teams of Kati Penn Williams and her husband Jr. Williams of NewTown, and Darin and Brooke Aldridge.

We are thrilled to announce that we will be joined in our efforts by the wonderful non-profit “Check Your Genes“.

As always, ticket sales go to benefit the Owen County Art’s Council, providing college scholarships to worthy students to promote the arts.

SPECIAL TREAT, THE RISE OF THE HUNTER’S MOON

 

 

What a special day it’s going to be this Saturday when we celebrate Autumn in Kentucky, life in America and the blessings we have all year long.

Not only will there be lots of good food and lots of good music, but we are going to have a very special treat.

Just as our concert is ending, and the sun has set, we should be treated to a wonderful experience as the Hunter’s Moon rises over the skyline behind the Poplar Grove Baptist Church, the inspiration for our name, Steepleview Farm.

We certainly hope you will stay the day and watch the moonrise as dark settles over the countryside.

The Hunter’s moon! Come join us won’t you?

Wednesday September 8, 2016:

Steepleview Farm is proud to announce that the Saint Elizabeth Hospital Mobile Mammography Van will be in place at this year’s BBQ & Bluegrass Jam on October 15, smack dab in the middle of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

In addition we will once again this year be wearing our pink shirts and ribbons to show our support for the push to raise awareness of the importance of early detection, treatment and ultimately the cure for breast cancer in the world.

We encourage everyone attending this year’s event to wear pink, to purchase ribbons at the festival proceeds of which support breast cancer research, and for the women attending this year to consider making use of the mobile mammography opportunity to help us save lives.

More about this crusade will be coming in the near future.  We hope to see you here!
